Gujranwala: The Government of Punjab has approved and launched a project to set up water filtration plants in nine union councils of the city, according to a news source. A tender for the project, which will cost PKR 36 million, has also been awarded.
The project is estimated to be completed in six months, while development work on it will start by the end of this month. The union councils that will have water filtration plants include Aiman Abad, Civil Lines, Ittefaq Colony, Ratta Bajwa, Satellite Town, Jandiala, and Baghola.
According to the Municipal Corporation Guranwala Mayor Sheikh Sarwat Ikram, water filtration plants will be set up in the rest of the union councils too.
