Quetta: The Balochistan Environment and Health Minister Faiz Muhammad Kakar said that the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) will contribute to the efforts towards making a disaster-resilient environment for Balochistan and Pakistan, according to a news report. This was said during an event being held at Civil Secretariat Quetta and was inaugurated by Kakar.
The senior officers of line departments, NGOs, INGOs, and academia also participated in the dialogue. Kakar appreciated the works of various development organisations and highlighted the need for such platforms so that Balochistan can be made a disaster-resilient province. The participants were also of the view that the dialogue had provided a platform for all stakeholders to sit, discuss, and express all of these objectives.
