Karachi: The Supreme Court directed the National Highway Authority (NHA) Chairman to file a report on the redesigning of Jamshoro-Sehwan Road within a month, as per a news report. This has been said after a three-judge bench headed by Justice Gulzar Ahmed highlighted the increasing numbers of accidents on this route and said that people are killed on a daily basis.
Justice Ahmed also expressed dissatisfaction over the construction of the M-9 by the NHA because he believes that it is difficult to drive along it. The NHA Chairman told the bench that they are making all efforts necessary to rectify flaws in the design of the road.
The bench directed him to incorporate protective measures in the design as this is the only way casualties along this route can be decreased
