Mansehra: The National Highway Authority (NHA) on Sunday launched an operation to clear Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road for traffic, according to news sources. The Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road was blocked for traffic after the Kaghan Valley received record snowfall in November 2020.

Deputy Commissioner Dr Qasim Ali Khan revealed to the press that an anti-encroachment drive from Kaghan to Babusar top will also be launched to resume the livelihood source of thousands of families dependent on the tourism revenue.

Mr Qasim said that the road will be cleared for traffic up to Kaghan early next month and then later up to Babusar in May’s first week. Managing Director Moon Restaurants Mr Hussain Deen said that the hoteliers are suffering because of road closure and coronavirus pandemic and that the road authority should expedite the work.
