Islamabad: The National Highway Authority (NHA) will soon start construction work on the underpass at Golra Mor Chowk, according to news published on Tuesday (April 12). As per the details, NHA has been awarded the contract for the construction of the underpass at Golra Mor Chowk, at the cost of PKR 717.644 million.

An NHA official (whose name was not disclosed) revealed that the authority will soon start work on the underpass at Golra Mor Chowk to offer direct access to Sectors I-16, I-15, and I-14. The underpass has been planned to ensure a smooth flow of traffic and to facilitate commuters.

Reportedly, the physical work is expected to be complete in 12-months. The NHA official mentioned that 125,000 vehicles entered the underpass on a daily basis. He went on to say that due to the burden of traffic on the road, it was prone to accidents.
