Islamabad: The National Highway Authority (NHA) has announced its decision to construct an interchange at 17th Avenue in Islamabad – near Sector H-16 and on the road linking Motorway and Grand Trunk (GT) Road, according to a news published on May 08.

As per an official, the said interchange project – to be constructed at 17th Avenue on Islamabad Link Road from N-5 to Motorway (M-2) – was initially related to the Ministry of Interior and has now been taken up by NHA.

The same official (whose name wasn’t disclosed) revealed that the construction timeline for the new interchange will be finalised after the feasibility study, detailed design and availability of financial resources are confirmed. He said the project will also provide an alternate link to Sectors I-15 and I-16 and facilitate travellers.
