Islamabad: The National Highway Authority (NHA) has decided to rebuild the Hub Bridge on Karachi-Quetta National Highway (N-25) after it was washed away by the recent flash floods, according to news published in the national dailies on July 29.

Recently, an executive board meeting of the NHA was held at the head office chaired by NHA Chairman Captain Muhammad Khurram Agha to review the current situation of the NHA network. The meeting approved the rebuilding of the Hub Bridge – connecting Sindh with Balochistan – on the directions of the Federal Minister of Communications and Postal Services Asad Mahmood.

Moreover, the meeting also approved the construction of the Hub Bypass which will provide new opportunities for socio-economic development in the region. The NHA chairman has directed the staff to stay alert in case of any emergency. He went on to say that the restoration of traffic on the network of national highways and motorways was a priority and all resources will be used for this purpose.
