Islamabad: The National Highway Authority has completed its cleanliness operations along 3,291 kilometres of its roads, reported a news source. The drive is part of the Clean and Green Pakistan Initiative announced by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
On special instructions of federal minister for transport, garbage heaps, wild bushes and trenches along highways and motorway are being cleaned. That’s in addition to filling the pits on these roads and cleaning the nullahs that run along these roads or intersect them.
The NHA has a target of cleaning its 4,211 road network in the country, out of which 3,291 kilometres have already been cleaned and repaired.
