Islamabad: The National Highway Authority (NHA) Executive Board has increased rental rates for using Right of Way (ROW) by 20%, according to news published on Wednesday (April 6).

The meeting of the NHA Executive Board was chaired by Chairman Capt Muhammad Khurram Agha and discussed the upward revision of ROW usage rental rates for laying/crossing of utility lines (water/gas/ oil pipelines, drain/ sewerage channels & erection of electrical poles & power cables, optical fibre cables) in NHA ROW Land. In the meeting, the board approved the increase in rental rates by 20% with effect from March 1 for the next three years.
As per the detail, initially, the rentals for ROW will be paid in advance for 5 and 3 years for all types of pipelines, optical fibre cable, and electrical lines. It was notified that the rates are net-off tax, so all tax including withholding tax will be added to the prescribed rates for non-filers and filers to calculate gross NHA charges with tax.

Moreover, during the meeting, the board also approved the award of Consultancy Services for ‘Design Review & Construction Supervision Consultants for Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Corridor (CAREC) Development Investment Program Tranche-II and Tranche-III Projects’.
