Islamabad: The Executive Board of the National Highway Authority (NHA) has awarded the contract for the development and implementation of an e-bidding system at PKR 132.47 million to M/s Tejari Pakistan Pvt Ltd, according to news sources.

The board made this decision in its recently held meeting, where the NHA Chairman was also authorised to constitute a three-member technical committee for supervision of the development process. The committee will present its findings to the board in three months’ time. Furthermore, the board has also asked for the reports on progress status of previous information technology (IT) projects.

Additionally, the NHA Executive Board has recommended the “PC-I for construction of 4-lane flyover at Bhara Kahu (N-75) project” at a cost of PKR 7.608 billion for the Central Development Working Party (CDWP)’s approval. Similarly, on condition of a 100% mutation of Right of Way (ROW) by the provincial government in NHA’s name (with no subsequent cancellation of mutation); the board has also recommended federalisation of the following roads:
- Balkasar-Mianwali Road (126 KM) – suggested to be named N-130
- Mianwali-Muzaffargarh Road (28 KM) – suggested to be named N-135
- Neela Dullah Interchange (M-2) – Mangwal Road – as extension of M-2 (strategic road).
