Karachi: Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar has said that the 30,000-foot water pipeline being laid in the city will provide water to more than 200,000 people, according to a news report. He said this during to a visit to observe the progress of work on water pipelines being laid in North Karachi. Various development projects have also been started in North Karachi.
He stated that 70% of Karachi’s issues stemmed from problems in sewerage and water. He pointed out that in some areas, 90,000 gallons of water were being wasted, and in other areas, there was no water. Karachi Municipal Corporation and District Municipal Corporations are spending large funds on development projects and the residents of Karachi will see the results soon.
