Lahore: Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has installed a tubewell to provide potable water to Gulberg and surrounding areas, a news source reported. The tubewell was inaugurated by WASA Vice Chairman Sheikh Imtiaz Mehmood and Provincial Minister for Education Dr Murad Raas.

The tubewell has been installed near Gaddafi Stadium. Speaking on the occasion, the vice chairman said that water is a basic necessity and one of the top priorities of the current government.
He said that the new tubewell will provide water to 25,000 households and will alleviate potable water issues.
Dr Raas, while speaking on the event, congratulated the people of the area. He also expressed his determination to continue more welfare work in the future. He said that all the promises will be kept in the five years of the government.
