Mansehra: Officials of the revenue department and the National Highway Authority (NHA) have begun a new survey of land in areas near Dodial and Shinkiari for the Hassanadal-Thakot Motorway project, per a news source.
Reportedly, the teams are surveying the area to estimate the cost of land and determine the total land needed for acquisition. A surveyor told a news source that the government had specifically instructed them to refrain from purchasing agricultural land unless it was needed, as agricultural land is more expensive.
Previously, landowners in the Dodial area had objected to the low price allocated to their land by the revenue department and the disruption that the motorway route would cause, forcing the government to begin a new survey.
