Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to launch a new sector in its ‘LDA City’ after completing the Jinnah Sector’s development work, according to a news report published today (October 14). The authority has also approved the proposal for acquisition of additional land for the new sector.

According to details, the development authority has decided to launch the new sector, titled Iqbal Sector, after the development work was completed in the Jinnah Sector. The proposal for approval of this new sector would also be placed before the governing body in its upcoming meeting.

Moreover, the development authority had also approved the PC-1 for Naya Pakistan Apartments, under which the authority plans on constructing 35,000 apartments in the LDA City. These apartments would be for both the LDA employees and the general public, and would be completed under the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) initiative.
