Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi inaugurated the Gojra-Toba Tek Singh Section of Faisalabad-Multan Motorway (M-4) and the Sharqpur-Rajana Section of Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway (M-3) on 28th May 2018, according to a news report.
The Sharqpur-Rajana Section of Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway is expected to reduce traffic congestion drastically and will also attract maximum passenger and cargo movements. This will also provide a link to major cities and ensure efficient and safe transportation of passengers and goods. The length of Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway is 230 km, whereas that of Gojra-Toba Tek Singh Section is 58 km along Faisalabad-Gojra and 56 km between Khanewal-Multan. These highways will pass through economic hubs and facilitate the sports industries.
