Rawalpindi: Muhammad Arif Abbasi and Asif Mehmood, both ex-members of Punjab Assembly, have respectively taken charge as chairmen of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) and Parks & Horticulture Authority, according to news report. The two were welcomed by their respective teams, where they briefed them.
Speaking on the occasion, Abbasi said that offering services to the public will be his priority as RDA chairman, where he plans to introduce new practices to benefit the people and also ensure that all officers and staff of the development authority comply by the rules to do the same. He also indicated that strict action will be taken against breaking the rules. Talking about the ongoing projects, Abbasi said that needed measures will be taken to deliver these projects on time.
Newly appointed PHA Chairman Asif Mehmood said that new projects will be launched to beautify the city and make it green. He also shared his plan where he would engage university and college students to share their projects and suggestion for beautifying Rawalpindi. The best of these proposals and suggestions will latter incorporated. Asif also promised to make public parks safer and more facilitated for the families.
