Mansehra: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved new prices of land and houses being acquired for the construction of Dasu Hydropower Project, a news source quoted Upper Kohistan Deputy Commissioner (DC) Hamidur Rehman.
The federal government will take the final decision on the new rates. DC Rehman shared this information with a delegation of the World Bank during a visit to the project site.

Moreover, the landowners have expressed willingness to cooperate with the authorities concerned following the government’s proposal to increase the rates. Previously, these individuals had presented their suggestions with regard to the news rates before the steering committee.
As per reports, the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) will give the final approval on the new rates in its next meeting.
DC Rehman also mentioned that the government has started hiring revenue officials and other members to facilitate the timely execution of the 4,300MW project.
