Dera Ghazi Khan: The Chairman of the Tourism Development Corporation Punjab (TDCP) Dr Sohail Zafar Cheema announced that numerous tourism projects are being launched in the city to turn it into a tourist attraction, according to news sources.

While addressing a press conference he revealed that Chief Minister (Punjab) Sardar Usman Buzdar has given record grants to the corporation, setting a new and progressive precedent. He expressed hopes that various historical sites, culture, cuisine and festivals can attract travellers to the region. He also revealed plans to initiate a ferry service in the Indus River, Ghazi Ghat. New hotels and motel will also be constructed to house tourists.

He opined that the range of Koh-e-Suleman is gifted with many natural and wonderful spots. Not to mention the heritage of the land holds interest for many, and the half-billion set aside for the promotion of tourism in Punjab will be utilised to explore new avenues in this regard, he added.
