Karachi: Syed Mansoor Abbas Rizvi has taken charge as the new director general of the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) – a news source reported.
He summoned a session of senior KDA officers at the Civic Centre. The officials concerned briefed the KDA chief on various administrative and financial matters.

During the meeting, Rizvi directed all departmental heads to start preparations for the budget pertaining to the fiscal year 2019-20. He instructed them to perform their duties responsibly.
Moreover, the new KDA chief warned that ghost and absentee employees would no longer be tolerated. He stressed on the need to develop greater inter-departmental coordination.

With regard to the Supreme Court’s orders, Rizvi said that the civic agency will carry out indiscriminate action against encroachments and other illegal structures.
The KDA chief called for digitising land records and sought suggestions on matters related to income and expenditures.
