Islamabad: Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) officials have revealed that the new Islamabad International Airport has been granted another deadline to become operational, states a news report.
According to details, in a briefing to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday, it was decided that the new airport will become operational in August 2017. The project was due for completion in December 2016. According to CAA officials, the project is only 82% complete and thus the former deadline could not be met.
