Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that the development of new districts is being considered across the province on administrative grounds, a news source reported. A special committee headed by chief secretary has been constituted to deliberate on this issue.
The CM was presiding over a review meeting held at the Civil Secretariat. He expressed his resolve towards improving good governance and public service delivery mechanisms in the province.

He further stated that the police and administrative officers were the helping hands of the government. He instructed the officials from these institutions to ensure a strong liaison with the people and public representatives for providing better services, ensuring good governance, and offering solutions to problems.
The chief minister reiterated that improving public hospitals was the government’s top priority. He promised to transform Punjab into a model province in terms of good governance.
He said he would personally monitor the service delivery standards by visiting all of the land areas covered in the province without giving prior notice.
