Karachi: Minister for Transport Syed Nasir Shah has said that new public buses will begin operating by 15th of March, according to a news report. The minister was quoted as saying that Sindh government had announced the public transport initiative almost a year ago, and that it will bring 600 new public buses to the city.
The buses are locally made and they will be delivered by the manufacturers in phases. In the first phase, the buses will run on Shahra-e-Faisal. The minister also explained that the fare for the new buses will be the same as that charged by the current mini-buses.
