Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board has approved bids worth PKR 17.4 billion received for auctioning 12 commercial plots in the New Blue Area of the capital city, according to a news source published on July 25.

The CDA board held a meeting at the its headquarters with Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed spearheading. The authority approved the bids enabled the successful bidders and the CDA’s officials concerned to proceed with the monetary proceedings — to be completed within the stipulated time.

Recently, the authority auctioned off twelve commercial plots during a three-day auction held from July 15-17. The revenue received from these New Blue Area commercial plots will be spent on various uplift projects, however, the authority has reserved PKR 50 million for the construction of apartments in the Sector I-9 to accommodate the slum-dwellers of Sector F-6 and F-7.
