Balakot: The committee formed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khatak for the New Balakot City Project, has finalised the names of 300 people who will get plot allotment letters, reported a news source. The project was proposed 12 years ago to rehabilitate surviving families displaced by the October 2005 earthquake.
These 300 people, who were settled in the red zones of Balakot and Garlat after the earthquake, will get 7-marla residential plots. A ceremony in this regard will be held in High School Balakot today.
The first phase of plot allotment will be completed in one week, after which 10-marla plots will be allotted in the second phase.
