Islamabad: The Dynamic Engineering & Automation (DEA), a privately owned engineering service providers, has concluded its talks with Chinese investors to establish special economy zones (SEZs) in Thatta and Chakwal districts, according to a news report.
As per the talks held between the private firm and the Chinese investors, the later will help set up manufacturing facilities, research and development labs, sales centers and global service centers at these SEZs with an estimated investment of USD 5 – 7 billion. The SEZ in Thatta is located in Pir Phato while that in Chakwal is located in Padshahan District.

It is confirmed that many multi-billion Chinese companies will be investing these SEZs. The investment by these Chinese companies also falls directly under the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision to increase foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country. Owais Mir, CEO of DEA said, “We have signed agreements with Shenyang Biotech Group, Neusoft Medical Systems, HE Vision Group, Lovol Heavy Industries, Wondfu Medical, Kaper Technologies, Green Agrotech, Shenglin Metallurgical Group, Red Crown Intelligent Technology, Shanghai Rich Tai Industries and Dandong automation to act as the local partners and facilitators.”

The special economic zones in Thatta and Chakwal will consist of the industries developed in medical sector, paper recycling, artificial intelligence, metals recycling, marbles, agriculture and farming, renewable energy, automobile including EV and paint. The master plan of these industries to be developed will be designed by China Urban-Rural Holding Group, a group specialized in revitalization of urban and rural areas along with preparing eco-friendly designs and balanced development of regions in China.
DEA in collaboration with HE Vision China is planning a state-of-the-art eye hospital equipped with modern technology to provide cost free checkups and treatment to underprivileged people.
