Rawalpindi: The district administration of Rawalpindi has stressed the need for a master plan to promote business activities in the city, a news source quoted Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Dr Umer Jahangir. Jahangir believes that this master plan is also necessary to ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
Jahangir emphasised that the plan would ensure a smoother flow of traffic and the removal of encroachments in the city while talking to representatives of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI). He also said that due to encroachments, parking issues, and traffic, the city’s commercial areas are not frequented as much as they can be, and this is harmful for businesses. He also revealed that the city’s Gymkhana Club is being uplifted.
