Islamabad: National Economic Council (NEC) approved the federal development budget of PKR 1.03 trillion for the financial year 2018-19 under its Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), according to a news report. Three provincial chief ministers: that of Balochistan, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa boycotted the meeting after minimal participation.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi headed the NEC meeting and, for a small period, Chief Ministers of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Sindh and Balochistan also participated in it.
He shared that the federal PSDP was majorly restricted to infrastructure projects, however, some provinces were trying to include their schemes under it.
