Islamabad: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) recently set up a universal hotline facility to register complaints of health workers across the country amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation, a news source reported.

NDMA Director Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal inaugurated the hotline service on Wednesday. The hotline number, 157-157-111-051, has been installed in the operation room of NDMA.

According to officials, health workers, including doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff would be able contact the 24/7 hotline service. The health workers will also be able to register their complaints and inform about the non-availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other necessary equipment.

NDMA has been actively involved in assisting and protecting the frontline medics in combat against coronavirus pandemic. It has been dispatching PPEs, masks, gloves, and other necessary tools to hospitals across the country since the outbreak of the pandemic in Pakistan.
