Faisalabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday (February 9) has launched the Naya Pakistan Sehat Card in Faisalabad, which will cover health insurance up to PKR 1 million for each family in a year, according to media reports.

PM Khan reached Faisalabad for a day-long visit for the launch of the government’s flagship healthcare programme. He was accompanied by Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar and federal cabinet members. It is pertinent to note that Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill on Tuesday (February 8) notified that the government is all set to launch the universal health cards scheme in the industrial city.

As per the details, the facility of free medical treatment through Sehat Card will be available across the province by March. Under this initiative, every household will get access to medical treatment worth PKR 1 million from both private and public hospitals.
