Islamabad: The Naval Anchorage Interchange on the under-construction Islamabad Expressway has been inaugurated, according to a news source. The Pakistan Navy Chief of Staff Rear Admiral Farrokh Ahmad inaugurated the interchange on Sunday.
This is the first flyover constructed by any housing society on Islamabad Expressway, which is currently in the making to become a signal-free corridor that will connect Islamabad’s Zero Point with Rawat.
For the construction of this flyover, Naval Anchorage utilised its own funds and workforce. In addition to that, the design for the project was also prepared by the society, which was approved by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) some months ago.
With the inauguration of the Naval Anchorage Flyover, the traffic headed to and from the society will run smoothly without affecting the traffic flow on the signal-free corridor.
