Rawalpindi: The Punjab Forest Department has decided to set up a facilitated National Park in the forest located at the junction of Chakwal and Attock, according to a news source published on August 25. The mega project will be set up on 20,000 acres of land, for which the department has already initiated the related development work.
As per the plan, the park will feature 25-kilometre long jeep track, a lake offering boating facility and other water rides, a helipad, food stalls and restaurants, a museum, and a bird kingdom.

Reportedly, Punjab Forest Department Additional Secretary Shahid Rasheed Awan visited the project site recently and instructed the project administrator to speed up developmental work for timely completion. Sources claim that the park will be ready by December 31.
Moreover, the jungle is home to 2,000 year-old relics – which will be displayed at the planned museum. In order to make the park attractive for a wide range of tourists, the Forest Department will ensure provisions of a wide range of food varieties including desi, fast and traditional cuisines.
