Islamabad – The Standing Committee on House and Library raised its apprehensions regarding the poor maintenance of Parliament Lodges.
Under the chairmanship of Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi, a meeting of the Standing Committee was held during which reservations over the poor maintenance work carried out by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Parliament Lodges were expressed. Committee members also raised concerns over the cleanliness and seepage issues prevalent in the lodges.
Addressing to this, the Deputy Speaker directed CDA to resolve the complaints of parliamentarians regarding the poor maintenance of Parliament Lodges. He also instructed the authority to conduct a survey for finding solution to seepage issues. CDA was further directed to investigate the matter of poor maintenance work and provision of sub-standard furniture in the Parliament Lodges.
