Lahore: According to a news report, it is expected that Nandipur Power Plant might be closed for about 20 days for maintenance.
Gencos Holding Company Limited’s (GHCL) Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Imran said that initially the contractor was to shut down the plant for 20 days for cleaning of the condenser and other maintenance work. However, he added that permission has not been granted by National Power Control Centre (NPCC) yet for shutting down the plant.
Muhammad Imran further added that the capacity of the plant had recently been increased from 425 MW to 510 MW after being converted to regasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) and that maintenance is to be done soon.
