The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) officials informed the committee members that the Nai Gaj Dam – which was initiated in 2012 – should have been completed in 2015. However, the delay in the funds release pushed back the development timeline.
The Planning Commission authorities informed the committee that the revised cost of PC-1 of this damn had exceeded to PKR 47 billion, from the original PKR 26 billion approved in 2012. In response, the committee sought a detailed report from the Planning Commission.
