Islamabad: In the wake of the government’s decision to extend the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) registration deadline by a month, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) recently reported its receipt of approximately200,000 new applications.

A NADRA spokesperson stated that the number of applications received had jumped from 1.4 million to 1.6 million since the announcement of the facility – under which the executive had extended the due date from October 15 to November 15.
He said that the registration process was underway in full swing and many applicants had approached NADRA’s e-sahulat centres for the purpose. The registration service is available at the said franchises at a fee of PKR 250 – as well as at NADRA’s website – he further stated.

The spokesperson added that oversees Pakistanis could avail the opportunity via the website from the comfort of their homes. He urged interested citizens to not wait for the last day to apply and commence with the registration process on an immediate basis.
