NADRA offices had been closed due to the lockdown measures announced by the government. However, some beneficiaries of the Ehsaas Emergency Cash program had been facing problems in receiving their payments due to issues with their identification cards; leading to an appeal to the government to reopen NADRA Offices once again.
The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation — and the head of the Ehsaas Program — Dr. Sania Nishtar advised people to contact NADRA helplines (7000 for cell phone users and 111-786-100 for landline) before they visited the authority’s offices.

She added that people who were facing problems with biometric verification could contact their nearest NADRA office and that the matter would be resolved within 24 hours. The special assistant further stated that once the verification process had been completed, the funds could then easily be collected from the office of the Benazir Income Support Programme.
Reportedly, NADRA offices will remain open from 10 AM to 4 PM from Monday to Thursday, and from 10 AM to 1 PM on Friday.
