Lahore: The National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) has publicised its receipt of 1.918 million applications for the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP), a news source reported. According to the government agency, the deadline for NPHP registrations is set to expire on December 15.

Previously, NADRA had introduced its e-Sahulat franchises all over the country in an effort to facilitate NPHP applicants. Further, it had asked these individuals to submit their applications through its official website. The submission fee for the application forms is worth PKR 250.
A NADRA official stated that the agency had received applications from widows, the labour community, slum dwellers, divorced women, and the transgender community.
Previously, NADRA had extended that the deadline for submitting the NPHP forms from November 15 to December 15. Currently, the registration process for the affordable housing initiative is in full swing across the country, the official added.

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan had launched the second phase of the NPHP project in July this year in a bid to continue the government’s efforts for providing low-cost housing to the public.
