Islamabad: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has recently introduced a quick and secure digital service for obtaining Power of Attorney (POA), according to an official source on December 4.

Under the details shared through the institution’s Facebook post, NADRA, by its forward-thinking initiative, allows individuals residing outside Pakistan to grant POA to trusted persons within the country, eliminating the need to visit Pakistani embassies. Overseas Pakistanis can easily access the digital POA service through the official NADRA website: www.poa.nadra.gov.pk. This user-friendly online platform streamlines the application process, providing a seamless experience for those wishing to delegate legal powers without the hassle of embassy visits.
Following are the steps to process the online application:
- Create an account on the POA portal
- Fill in the required information online
- Upload the biometric data through the fingerprint form
- Complete the online fee payment
- Conduct a video interview with the assigned counsellor
- Provide final consent via email before the issuance of the digital Power of Attorney
