Karachi: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) set up a ‘Khuli Katchery’ (open court) on Thursday, where they received a large number of fraud complaints, a news source reported.

As per the publication, the complainants filed complaints against the management of a number of cooperative schemes. The open court ‘Khuli Katchery’ was set up in line with the NAB chairman’s initiative ‘Zero Tolerance against Corruption’. The NAB Karachi Director-General Dr Najaf Quli Mirza directed officials for complaint verification (CV) against various departments to pursue action as per National Accountability Ordinance 1999.

Mirza also issued orders that complaints not falling under the bureau’s control should be sent to the concerned departments and the grievances of complaints be resolved as per the law. He also lauded the overwhelming response of the people and deemed it as a sign of trust in NAB’s performance and delivery against corruption.
