Lahore: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has sought a progress report on the development work carried out thus far in LDA City, a news source reported. As per the directives issued by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the Government of Punjab was to allot plots to LDA City file holders by September 2019.

The NAB has directed the Lahore Development Authority to submit a report on land acquired for the society, the status of physical development work, number of file holders, and payments made to the development partners of LDA City.

As per the development plan, the LDA was to acquire 13,000 kanals of land for the project, out of which it has already acquired over 11,000 kanals. Urban Planning Additional Director General Rana Tika Khan has instructed the LDA staff to prepare and share a report based on this development.

Furthermore, LDA is to brief Punjab Minister for Housing and Urban Development Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed on the mechanism of the LDA City plot and ongoing development work. The briefing will be held tomorrow (October 5) at the project site.
As announced earlier, the ballot to allocate plot numbers to LDA City plot files in Phase 1 will be held on November 30.
