Further, Iqbal revealed that NAB had recovered PKR 3.4 billion through plea bargains this year; which is five times more than the amount recovered last year. He stated that the federal institution had planned to file over 100 references in Sindh by the end of 2019. He stated that the amounts received through these recovery methods were ‘unprecedented’ collections; which signalled the beginning of a new era of accountability.
