Lahore: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has announced plans to establish a dedicated Facilitation Cell aimed at resolving property-related grievances for Overseas Pakistanis. The move comes as part of NAB’s broader efforts to streamline the resolution of property disputes and enhance public facilitation.

The announcement was made during a special ceremony held at NAB Lahore’s office on Thursday, where the chairman, Lt-Gen. (R) Nazir Ahmed, distributed allocation letters and cheques to victims of housing society scams. Addressing the attendees, the NAB chairman emphasized the importance of addressing property issues for Overseas Pakistanis, who often face delays and legal complexities in resolving their property disputes back home.
The new Facilitation Cell will cater specifically to Overseas Pakistanis, providing them with a dedicated platform to report property issues and seek assistance in resolving their cases efficiently. NAB’s chairman highlighted that the establishment of the cell would help speed up the process and ensure fair resolutions for those living abroad.

Additionally, the NAB chairman also announced plans for creating a unified platform for real estate developers, regulators, and stakeholders to streamline project approvals and development timelines. He further urged the government to establish specialized courts for Overseas Pakistanis in Lahore to expedite the legal proceedings related to their property cases.
During the ceremony, which was attended by various officials, including the Director General (DG) of NAB Lahore, Amjad Majeed Aulakh, the chairman also commended the efforts of NAB’s investigation teams for their role in resolving long-standing property disputes. The new Facilitation Cell is expected to play a pivotal role in easing the challenges faced by Overseas Pakistanis in managing and resolving their property-related matters.
