Peshawar: The Peshawar chapter of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has started a probe against the owners and management of Khushal Gardens, a housing scheme in Nowshera District, according to a news report. The reason for this probe is the allegation that the management cheated the public on the pretext of plot allotment.
It was revealed that the society had attracted the general public through advertisements which encouraged them to invest in the scheme and get their plots allotted to them later. However, NAB noted that neither development nor allotment had occurred even after a long lapse in time. This has damaged the investment interests of many people who had invested in the housing scheme. These people have been told by NAB to go to its director general’s office at the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) Complex in Hayatabad, and register their complaints. These complaints should have complete documentation, with proof of payment and other documents, before being handed over to the relevant investigating officer.
