Karachi: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to launch several inquiries against land-grabbers, according to a news report. This was decided in a regional board meeting at NAB’s Karachi office, and was chaired by NAB’s Karachi Director General, Mohammad Altaf Bawany.
The meeting was also attended by the directors of investigation wings, the Additional Director Complaint Verification Cell, and investigation teams working on various cases. The spokesman for NAB Karachi stated that several cases were considered and decisions made. Inquiries were also authorised against alleged land-grabbers.
DG NAB appreciated the confidence shown by the general public in NAB when they came forward with complaints in two public hearings held by the organisation. He asked the public to join hands with NAB by lodging their complaints under National Accountability Ordinance 1999 and help NAB in fighting corruption.
