Karachi: The National Assembly of Pakistan will approve the tax amnesty scheme bill on Monday, May 14, 2018, a news source quoted the Finance Minister Miftah Ismail, who was addressing a meeting arranged by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry.
The scheme can be availed by all Pakistanis, except for public office holders, their spouses, and dependent children, where they can declare their hidden assets in form of land, plots, apartments, and super structures by paying 5% of the assets’ price as tax and become tax filers.
The amnesty scheme was made part of the Budget 18-19, after the ordinance was signed by Pakistan President Manoon Hussain. For more details on it, you can also check out Zameen blog with the Prime Minister’s tax reforms and amnesty scheme.
