Multan: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Amir Khattak on Wednesday directed the Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC) to clean the city’s entry and exit points, a news source reported. MWMC Managing Director (MD) Nasir Shahzad Dogar has been tasked with overseeing the operations.

According to details, the special cleaning squad of MWMC did its work between Double Phattak and Chowk Naag Shah. The 30-worker squad also resorted to useing heavy machinery.
Reportedly, the MWMC staff has been working under a newly formulated plan to clean Multan including areas of Fertilizer Factory, Khanewal Road, Vehari Chowk, Bahawalpur Chowk, Bypasses, Suraj Miani and Qasim Bela.

In a related news, the MWMC has also been tasked with disinfecting various areas to curb the spread of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic. Most recently, the disinfection of Bosan Road, Gulgasht, and Vehari Road was carried out with three teams of workers participating in the disinfection drive across the city.
