Multan: The Multan Solid Waste Management Company (MWMC) has introduced a second shift during evening hours in its bid to enhance the scope of its cleanliness campaign in the city, a news source reported. This cleanliness drive officially commenced from October 24 (Thursday).

Previously, MWMC Managing Director (MD) Nasir Shehzad Dogar had inaugurated the cleanliness campaign at the Jalal Mosque Chowk. He said that the company had launched this initiative as per the instructions of Multan Deputy Commissioner (DC) Amir Khattak.

The MD added that the second shift would begin from 1 pm and last till 9 pm every day.

The MD revealed that the purpose of this drive was to provide a clean environment in parks and grounds during evening hours. He added that another reason to launch the second shift was to encourage a culture of sports and jogging among the youth.
