Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar on Tuesday (September 28) said that Muzaffargarh Industrial Estate will be given the status of the special economic zone (SEZ), news sources reported.

The minister made the remarks at a meeting with Dera Ghazi Khan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DGKCCI) President Khwaja Jalal-ud-Din Roomi. He stated that the classification of Muzaffargarh Industrial estate as an SEZ will provide job opportunities for the youth of South Punjab. CM Buzdar further stated that the government intends to provide soft loans to the youth of Muzaffargarh, Multan, and DG Khan. In this context, the Jalal-ud-Din Roomi Foundation will assist in the distribution of loans to needy youth in order to promote economic activity.

While charity centres will be opened in public locations in conjunction with the Jalal-ud-Din Roomi foundation. CM Buzdar also praised the foundation work on the repair of filtration plants, stating that more support will be offered to continue the outstanding job.
