Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Division Comissioner Aamir Khattak has instructed the Metropolitan Corporation Rawalpindi (MCR) to brighten up city areas by installing LED lights on both sides of the 6th Road Flyover and Chandni Chowk Flyover, as reported on May 29.

According to the details, the LED installation will start next week. Moreover, MCR Chief Officer Imran Ali mentioned that outdated city lights will be upgraded to expensive LED lights for the first time, following the Commissioner’s orders. Furthermore, the MCR has reclaimed Khayaban Park, which was illegally occupied for 40 years, with plans to build a modern public park. Once completed, the park will be handed over to the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA).

Lastly, the MCR is dedicated to combating encroachment and preserving Rawalpindi’s beauty, following the Commissioner’s directives. MCR Chief Officer encouraged the public to reach out to him directly for any issues regarding birth or death certificates and other MCR-related matters.
