Rawalpindi: The district administration has asked the Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) to free Murree Road of encroachment and make it a model road in terms of cleanliness, a news source reported on March 5.

As per the details, Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatha has requested the RWMC to improve the cleanliness of the city. He went on say that a city role model should be made from the general bus stand at Faizabad to Mareer. For this, relevant departments will cooperate to ensure the cleanliness of all union councils. Additionally, the commissioner disclosed that Murree Road was being made a model road so the company should ensure a better cleanliness system.

Reportedly, the commissioner has asked to establish more transfer stations in the city to facilitate the transportation of garbage to the landfill site. The district administration highlighted that special attention should be given to the cleanliness in Murree and the tehsils.
